PREFACE. This little work owes its origin to the following circumstances : The society of physicians at SookEAs Street, Muddon Mitter's Lane in Calcutta, found with deep regret the opprobrium cast upon the treatment made by KobiRAJAs and on the Hindoo Medical Science in general. Some even suppose that AyuRVEDA only treats of the administration of some very unpalatable panchons fit only for savage state of society but wholly unsuited to civilized men.
