Rabindranath Togore at Bolepore to felicitate him on the award of Nobel Prize came off on Sunday. November 23rd. As previously announced a special train conveying about 500 among whom were also a few Europeans and Mahomedans the majority being Beangali gentlemen left. Howrah for Bolepore on the Loop line at 10-30 a.m. Young Bengali volunteers, who were pressed into the service were carly on duty at Howrah to receive the guests and see them to their seats in the train. the trøain could not for obvious reasons be elaborately decorated but a single festoon of flags along its whole length marked it out as a vehicle containig, as a member of the deputation aptly remarked, "ardent pilgrims to the shrine of letters at Bolepore.” In any case the journey was delightful. Among the prominent members of the deputation were : Mr. Justice Chaudhuri, Mr. Bhupendra nath Basu, Dr. J. C. Bose, Professor Mahalanobis, Princip. Satish Chundra Vidyabhusan, Rai Bahadur Dr. Chuni Lal Bose, Babu Krishna Kumar Miter. Dr. P. K. Acharya. Dr. Indu Madhub Mullick, the Rev. Mr. Melburn. Kumar Arun Chundra Sinha. Babu Hirendra Nath Dutt, Mr. S. M. Bose, Mr. D. C. Ghosh. Sr. N. Basu, Maulvie Abdul Kasem. Mr. Jogendra Nath Mittér, Mr. Jamini Mohan Mitter, Babu Ambuj Nath Chatterjee and almost all the 8 AS
