বড়ার মুখোপাধ্যায়-বংশ \OS নিবারণচন্দ্ৰ ব্ৰহ্ম গবৰ্ণমেণ্টের পূৰ্ত্তি বিভাগের একজন বিশিষ্ট দক্ষ কৰ্ম্মচারী। উচ্চপদে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হইয়াও তিনি সৰ্ব্বদা পরোপকারে যত্নবান ও অহঙ্কারশূন্য ছিলেন । ১৯১২ খৃষ্টাব্দে ভারত গবৰ্ণমেণ্ট ইহাকে “রায় সাহেব” উপাধি প্ৰদান করিয়া ইহার কাৰ্য্যকুশলতায় আন্তরিক শ্রদ্ধা প্ৰদৰ্শন করেন। ঐ বৎসর ৭ই জুলাই তারিখে ব্ৰহ্ম গবৰ্ণমেণ্টের চীফ সেক্রেটারী (Chief Secretary Mr. W. F. Rice) vstics যে পত্র লেখেন তাহা নিমে উদ্ধৃত হইল :- Dear Sir, The Lieutenant-Governor has been authorized by His Excellency the Viceroy to distribute a number of silver medals among the leading non-official and Official gentlemen in Burma in commemoration of the Coronation Durbar held by his Majesty the King Emperor at Delhi in December IgII. I am desired to inform you that His Honor has been pleased to include you in the list of persons selected to receive the medals. I am to forward a silver medal for your acceptance and I am to ask you to be so good as to sign the enclo sed form of acknowledgme: t and return it to me. (Sd) W. F.
