Babu Ram Chandra Mukherjee has been Government Pleader throughout the eight years during which I have had charge of the T)istrict of Nadia. Any District Ollicer is to be congratulated who has the good fortune to have a legal adviser and assistant so zealous, so capable and so honest as he has in variably shown himself. I have thrown on him much of the labour which developes usually on a leputy Collector but he has always very cheerfully done what has been required of him. Of all my subordinates, there is not one to whom I owe more gratitude, a person, whom I part with more regret. তিনি যে কেবল ওকালতী কাজে কৃতিত্ব লাভ করিয়াছিলেন, তাহা নহে । তিনি সাধারণের কাজেও বিশেষ যশঃ অর্জন করিয়াছিলেন । তিনি কৃষ্ণনগর মিউনিসিপ্যালিটার দুইবার চেয়ারম্যান, নদীয়া জেলা বোর্ডের দুইবার ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান, নবদ্বীপ মিউনিসিপ্যালিটীর কমিশনার, অনারারী ম্যাজিষ্ট্রেট, কৃষ্ণনগর বালিকা বিদ্যালয়ের সেক্রেটারী ও আরও অনেক জনহিতকর কাজে নিযুক্ত ছিলেন । তিনি ঐ সকল কাজের জন্য বিশেষ প্ৰসিদ্ধি লাভ করেন ও তৎকালীন গেজেটে তাহার কাৰ্য্যাবলী সম্বন্ধে যে মন্তব্য প্ৰকাশ হইয়াছিল, তাহা পাঠ করিলে জানা যায় :- The name of Babu Itam Chandra Mukherjee, Zeminder and Government Pleader is also specially mentioned as having distinguished himself throughout the year by a
