The demand for Pakistan had its roots in inequity and discrimination against, denial of equal opportunities to, and exploitation in general of the minority community by the majority. Pakistan consisted of two territories, West, separated by a thousand miles of India. It was a dream and an ideal which called for sacrifices on the part of the citizen of both wings.
