Mr. Brezhnev made the call in a prepared speech to the Sixth Congress of the Polish Communist Party. "The Soviet Union firmly speaks in favor of ceasing the bloodshed, a peaceful settlement of the existing problems with respect for just rights of the nations without any intervention of external forces, in favor of creating conditions for a lasting and just peace in this region, he said. Mr. Brezhnev said: "We received with deep regret, like all the supporters of peace and freedom of nations, the news of the 'Awas' which broke out a few days ago between two neighboring States in Asia" adds AP, He said the 'Awas a result of the 'bloody' suppression of the basic rights and clearly expressed will of the population of East Pakistan and the tragedy of millions of refugees....
