어88 বাংরাদেশের স্বাধীনতা যুদ্ধ দলিলপত্রঃ দ্বাদশ খন্ড Bangladesh, I made this point yesterday and I agree with the Deputy Chairman who said that on account of Bangladesh there has been a conflict, on account of Bangladesh there has been this war and why then should we resist the temptation of according recognition to Bangladesh. What is the rationale behind this restraint, I do not understand. I hope and trust that the Government will take the initiative in this matter. I assure the Government that the whole nation will stand by them and Parliament will be with them if they declare today that they have accorded recognition to Bangladesh. That is the proper and effective reply that we are going to give Pakistan. One word about defense: I agree with my hon. friend, Mr. Chagla. When he said that their is no scope for a defensive war. There cannot be any restraints in this war, there cannot be any constraints in this conflict. We have got to wage it fully in all its fierceness so that victory may be won quickly. Otherwise I am afraid there may be dragging, there may be delay; there may be postponement in achieving the objective. Therefore, let us make it short and brief. It is for this I say that the country the Government and Parliament have got to move together as one body. And we must have what I call the will, the national will, to liberate Bangladesh. And in this task Sir, any sacrifice any privation, any suffering and any amount of pain and irritation has got to be tolerated by us as a nation. I am sure the nation has got the strength, the strength of will and unity of purpose, and I am also sure that with determination and resolve we will achieve a free Bangladesh before Christmas, and the defeat of the militarism of Pakistan and also before Christmas. With these remarks Sir, I end my speech ডঃ ভাই মহাবীর (দিল্লী) ...... মহোদয়, আমার শুধু এই বলার আছে, যে সংকটই আসুন না কেন আমার মনে পড়ছে, যখন বৃটেনের ওপর এরূপ একটি যুদ্ধ পরিস্থিতি এসেছিল তখন বলা হয়েছিল, বৃটেনের জন্য Così foot Tojoso, fog TRosa of colos, Britain's darkest hour was also its finest hour, এরূপ কোন পরিস্থিতি এসে থাকলে আজ সেটি আমাদের ইতিহাসে সবচেয়ে বীরত্বপূর্ণ অধ্যায়রূপে গণ্য হবে : ১৯৪৭ সালের ১৫ই আগষ্ট যে ভুল হয়েছিল তা ধুয়ে মুছে সমগ্র দেশে আমরা একটি নতুন যুগের ভিত্তিপ্রস্তর স্থাপন করব। ............ মহোদয়, আমাদের দেশে রাষ্ট্ৰীয় ঐক্যের যে প্রয়াস চলছে নিজেদের মধ্যে অনৈক্যের মনোভাব কখনো কখনো তাতে বাধা হয়ে দাঁড়ায় কিন্তু কোন শক্ৰ যদি এমন পরিস্থিতি সৃষ্টি করে দেয় যে, আমরা নিজেদের ঐক্যের কথা ভাবি, ঐক্যের মন্ত্র উচ্চারণ করি, তাহলে তাদের প্ররোচনা আমাদের শোনা উচিত। ভারত আবার এক হয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে নতুন যুগ নির্মাণ করবে। আমাদেরও মতভেদ রয়েছে সত্যারূঢ় দল, প্রধানমন্ত্রী ও সরকারের সংগে, তা সত্ত্বেও আমি বলতে চাই ভারত সরকার যখন এই যুদ্ধে জয়লাভ করবে তখন সবার আগে আমি এসে প্রধানমন্ত্রী ও প্রতিরক্ষামন্ত্রীকে অভিনন্দন জানাবো এবং তাঁদের বলব যে তাঁরা এই দেশকে, ভারত মাতার শিরকে সাফল্যমন্ডিত করেছেন, এজন্য তারা ধন্যবাদার্হ। এর সংগে আমি অবশ্যই চাইব, অন্যসব দল যেভাবে বিনাশর্তে সমর্থনের আশ্বাস দিচ্ছে সেভাবে সরকারও সবকিছুর উর্ধ্বে একদলীয় সরকারের মত না ভেবে নিজেকে যেন যারা দেশের সরকার মনে করেন। মহোদয়, আমি আরেকটি মাত্র কথা বলতে চাই, আমি মনে করি এই জরুরী অবস্থা ঘোষণার সংগে সংগে এই ঘোষণাও আসবে যে ভারত সরকার বাংলাদেশকে স্বীকৃতি দিয়েছেন। এতে আর বিলম্ব করা উচিত হবে না। পরিষদের এই ব্যক্ত ইচ্ছার সংগে আমি সরকার কণ্ঠও মিলাতে চাই। ধন্যবাদ SHRI M.K.
