Dhaka, Date 26 March, 1971 MLO No. 134 Whereas the funds of the Awami League are contribution of the members of the public and whereas it is necessary to ensure that the said funds in East Pakistan are not used or utilized in a manner prejudicial to public interest. Now therefore I, Lt. Gen. Tikka Khan MLA, Zone B’ hereby direct that: (a) All transaction of the said fund in East Pakistan shall stand frozen immediately effect. (b) No person shall, here in after operate the accounts is of the said fund except the accordance with the orders issued by me in this behalf (after an inquiry into the affairs of the said fund has been made under my directions). (c) Banks or firm or concern shall within three days from the date of issue of this order, surrender the assets and submit to this headquarters, the account of the said fund held by them setting out the details of deposits in and withdrawal from such accounts.
