Rammohun Roy was in excellent health and spirits. পৃ. ৪৯০–রাধাপ্রসাদ রায় ৯ মার্চ ১৮৫১ তাৰিখে রাধাপ্রসাদ বাস পরলোকগমন করেন। তাহাব মৃত্যুতে পূৰ্ববৰ্ত্তী ১২ই মার্চ ( শুক্রবার) তারিখে ‘সংবাদ প্রভাকর লিখিয়ছিলেন – "বাবু বাধাপ্রসাদ রায় —আমরা বিপুল শোকীর্ণবে নিমগ্ন অষ্টয়া রোদনবদনে করিতেছি ব্ৰহ্মলোকবাসি মৃত মহাত্মা ভরাজ রামমোহন রায় মহাশয়ের প্রথম পুত্র বহু গুণান্বিত মহানুভব ৮রাধাপ্রসাদ নায় মহাশয় জরবেগে আক্রাস্তু হইয়া গত মঙ্গলবাসরে এতন্মায়াময় সংসার পরিহাব পূৰ্ব্বক ব্ৰহ্মলোকে যাত্রা করিয়াছেন, এই মহাশয়, অতি ধাৰ্ম্মিক, সদ্বিদ্বান, প্রিয়ভাষী, নির্বিবরোধী, উদার চিত্ত, পরোপকারী, সদালাপী এবং সৰ্ব্বতোভাবে শ্ৰেষ্ঠ ছিলেন, কখনই কোন বিষয়ে কাতার সহিত র্তাহার কোনরূপ বিবাদ দেখা যায় माझे, সকলের সঙ্গেই সতত প্রণয়ভাবে কালঘাপন করিতেন, ইহার মহতী মূৰ্ত্তি মুহূৰ্ত্ত মাত্র নিরীক্ষণেই অন্তঃকরণে অপৰ্য্যাপ্ত আহ্বাদের সঞ্চার হইত। কারণ চক্ষু এবং মুখের ভঙ্গিমায় এমত বোধ হইত যে, জগদীশ্বল্প যেন সুশীলতাকে প্রণয়রসে আর্দ্র করত তাহার শরীরের উপর মদন করিয়াছেন । ঐ মহাশয় কিছুদিন দিল্লীশ্বরের সভাসদের পদে অভিধিক্ত থাকিয়া অতি উচ্চতর সম্মানের কার্য্য স্বসম্পাদন করিয়াছেন, এবং সৰ্ব্বশেষে এক প্রধান রাজার প্রধান কৰ্ম্ম নির্বাহ করিতেছিলেন, রাধাপ্রসাদ বাবু স্বজাতীয় এবং ভিন্নজাতীয় বহু বিদ্যায় নিপুণ ছিলেন, অতএব প্তাহার লোকাস্তর গমনে ময়ধ্য মাত্রেই শোকাকুল হইয়া আক্ষেপ প্রকাশ করবেন তাহাতে সন্দেহ কি ?”
