সংবাদ পত্রে মেঙ্কালের কথা نمونه পৃ. ৬৮৯–‘হিন্দু পাইয়োনিয়র’ পূর্ববর্তী লেখকেরা সকলেই হিন্দু পাইয়োনিয়ারকে “মাসিক" পত্র বলিয়াছেন। কিন্তু প্রকৃতপক্ষে ইহা “পাক্ষিক" পত্র ছিল। ১৮৩৫ সনের ২৪এ অক্টোবর তারিখে ইংলিশম্যান এণ্ড মিলিটারি ক্রনিকৃল’ পত্রে পাইতেছি,— We unintentionally omitted to notice the first number of the Hindoo Pioneer, a new bi-monthly periodical, when it came to us from the Editor. এই কাগজখানির প্রথম সংখ্যা প্রকাশিত হয়—১৮৩৫ সনের ২৭এ আগষ্ট তারিখে। ১৮৩৫ সনের ‘ক্যালকাটা মস্থলী জর্ণালের ৩২৭ পৃষ্ঠায় আছে – New Publications.—A periodical called the Hindu Pioheer, closely resembling in exterior the Literary Gazette and entirely the production of the students of the Hindoo College, has been published.
