Even the Smrities which art almost entirety foundèd on the principir* inculcaved in the Waids, must bow to their authority, wherever there is the slightest possibility of mistake or misconstruction; and for this reason, that the 8hrooties were uttered by inspiration, while the Smrities contain only at exposition of their precepts.
