कई-छौरुन እቂ Manjeaan Schaal-This School was established in 1858 by Babu Shama Churn Sircar, interpreter of the Supreme Court, Calcutta. The whole expense of the School was borne by that gentleman till the 1st of September, 1860, when a Government grant of Rupees 60 a month was sanctioned. Babu Shama Churn besides contributing the total amount of subscriptions himself, pays the tuition fee of every boy at the rate of four annas a month. He has to give in all upwards of Rupees 85 a month, towards the support of the School. Such liberality as his is rarely to be met with in this country. The institution labours under the usual difficulties of a free School. The people have to pay nothing for the education of their children and consequently care very little for the School —Report, dated 25 June 1862, of H. "এতদ্ভিন্ন সাধারণের মঙ্গল উদ্দেশে নিজ-গ্ৰাম মামজোয়ানি হইতে হাজরাপুর অবধি একটি এবং মামজোয়ানি হইতে বাদকুল্যার সন্নিহিত সুপ্রসিদ্ধ রাজ-পথ পৰ্য্যন্ত অপর একটি বস্তু বহু অর্থব্যয়ে নিৰ্ম্মাণ করিয়া দিয়া তৎপ্রদেশস্থ লোকের বিপুল মঙ্গল সাধন করিয়া গিয়াছেন।... তদ্ব্যতিরেকে প্রতি-বর্যে দলুই গ্রাম ও হলুদপাড়া নামক গ্রামন্বয়ের মধ্যবৰ্ত্তী সুবিস্তৃত প্রান্তরমধ্যে—সেই জল-শূন্ত প্রদেশে হিন্দু-মুসলমান দুই জাতির জন্ত দুইটি স্বতন্ত্র কুপ খনন করিয়া একটি হিন্দু, একটি মুসলমান ভূত্য নিযুক্ত রাখিয়া জলছত্র প্রদানপূর্বক উভয়-জাতির তুল্যরূপে শুশ্ৰুষার ব্যবস্থা করিয়া দিতেন । সেই প্রাস্তুরবাহী পথিকগণ ও পার্শ্ববৰ্ত্তী পল্লীর গোকসকল এবং কৃষক ও গোপাল প্রভৃতি তাহার প্রদত্ত জলছত্রে জলপান ও বিশ্রাম করিয়া শ্রাস্তি দূর ও ক্ষুংপিপাস। নিবারণ করিত ”w
