- বঙ্গীয়-সাহিত্য-পরিষদে রক্ষিত, গেীরদাস বসাককে লিখিত (২৪-১১-৮৯) রাজনারায়ণ বস্তুর একখানিপত্র এ-বিষয়ে আলোকপাত করে। রাজনারায়ণ লিখিতেছেন –

You did not tell mé anything about it." এই সময়ে কুচবিহারে ম্যাজিষ্ট্রেটের পদে একজন উপযুক্ত লোকের শ্লষ্ট সংবাদপত্রে বিজ্ঞাপন প্রকাশিত হয়। মধুসূদন এই পদপ্রার্থ হইয়া কুচবিহারাধিগণ্ড নরেন্দ্রনারায়ণ ভূপের নিকট যে আবেদন করিয়াছিলেন,তাহ এইরূপ : Calcutta Police, 27th January 1860, My dear Raja Sahib,<-I see an advertizement tu the ‘Englishman' in which your Highness wants a magistrate. Allow me to offer my services to you. Your Highness knows that I have been for several years connected with the Calcutta Police and understand criminal matters pretty well....Your Highness...must know that I shall havs to sacrifice my prospects here if I go up to your country, aud the offer
