He is the quondam Bengally editor of the Gyannarteshun... উদ্ধৃত অংশ হইতে স্পষ্ট জানা যাইতেছে, ‘জ্ঞানাম্বেষণ পত্রের বাংলা বিভাগের ভূতপূৰ্ব্ব সম্পাদক গৌরীশঙ্কর তর্কবাগীশই ‘সম্বাদ ভাস্করে’র প্রধান সম্পাদক ছিলেন । o প্রথমাবস্থায় আব্দুল-নিবাসী মথুরানাথ মল্লিকের কনিষ্ঠ ভ্রাতা শ্ৰীনাথ মল্পিক ‘সম্বাদ ভাস্কর পত্রের পৃষ্ঠপোষক ছিলেন। ১৮৪৪ খ্ৰীষ্টাব্দের সেপ্টেম্বর মাসে শ্ৰীনাথ মল্লিকের মৃত্যু হঠলে গৌরীশঙ্কর তাহার সম্বন্ধে এক দীর্ঘ প্রবন্ধ লেখেন। তাহার এক স্থলে তিনি লিগিয়াছিলেন, "শ্ৰীনাথ বাৰু .[ বহু ] কাল আমারদিগকে টাকা দিয়া প্রতিপালন করিয়াছেন, আমারদিগের সেই প্রতিপালক মিত্র গেলেন “ শ্রীনাথ মল্লিকের প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতার চিহ্নস্বরূপ সম্বাদ ভাস্করের শিরোভাগে এই শ্লোকটি মুঞ্জিত হুইত, এরূপ হওয়াও বিচিত্র নহে – গৌরীশঙ্করবক্ত পদ্মন্ধদয়ে স্ত্রনাথপন্ধাতুরে ऋश्राक्ष्बर भग्रुमङि छाकवदन्तः সস্বাদপদ্মোদৱৈঃ । হৃৎপষ্মপ্রকটায় সভতমহো সস্বাধপরাধিনায় লোৱানাং খলু ৰেদপদ্মপ্রকটে ইপাৰেনিৰ্বথা ।
