হাসে এই মন্ত্রণাসভার সবিস্তার বর্ণনা প্রদত্ত হইয়াছে। অর্ম্মিলিখিয়া গিয়াছেন যে,—“যাহারা ইতিপূর্ব্বে সিরাজদ্দৌলার নাম শুনিলেই থর থর করিয়া কাঁপিয়া উঠিতেন এমন অনেক লোকে এখন সময় পাইয়া তাহার নামে অবজ্ঞা প্রকাশ করিতে লাগিলেন; কেহ কেহ স্বার্থরক্ষার জন্য নূতন নবাবকে নরহত্যার প্রশয় দিতে সাহস পাইলেন না। অনেকে মীরজাফরকে বশীভূত রাখিবার জন্য সিরাজদ্দৌলাকে জীবিত রাখাই যুক্তিসিদ্ধ মনে করিতে লাগিলেন; ইহারা সকলেই একবাক্যে বলিলেন যে, সিরাজকে যাবজ্জীবন কারারুদ্ধ করা হউক। মীরণের মত তাহা নহে। সিরাজদ্দৌলা জীবিত থাকিলে সর্ব্বদাই রাজবিপ্লব উপস্থিত হইয়া মীরজাফরের সিংহাসন আপদ- সঙ্কুল করিবে বলিয়া যে সকল কূটনীতিপরায়ণ ব্যক্তিদিগের ধারণা, তাহারা মীরণের পক্ষ সমর্থন করিয়া সিরাজদ্দৌলাকে হত্যা করিবার জন্য পরামর্শদান করিলেন। তাহাদের পরামর্শই অবশেষে কার্য্যে পরিণত হইল![১]
