He ungrudgingly rendered overy possible help to promote the moral and intellectual wolfare of the student community of the City. His genial presence and kindly temporament were always a source of great strength and encouragement to the whole body of junior mombers. His interest in the affairs of the Institute as well as in the welfare of the whole student eommunity was unfailing to the last clay of his life.
