The reasons for the change were, to quote from the Report for 1915-16, (1) to widen the sphere of the work of the institution and (2) to indicatc that the object of thc institution was not rostricted to physical culture only. Thc literary side of the Institute consists in holding Iiterary Classes, coaching little boys and maintaining a Reading Room and a small library and holding mectings in which papers on various
