The Supreme Government having sanctioned the holding of a Fair on the British side of the Bootan Frontier, for the revival and encouragement of Trade, and peaceable intercourse between the inhabitants of Bootan, Sikim, and Nipal, and the people of Itungpoor, Dinajpoor, Malda, Purneah, and of the British Provinces generally, it is hereby notified for general information, that the Fair will take place annually at Titalya, during the full moon of the IIndu inouth of Pous, and that every protection to the persons, and property of Foreigners, and our own subjects will be secured by the conteinplated arrangeinents, as well as every facility afforded to Trade, and Barter at this new Mart. The Fair will commence on Saturday, the 18th December, 1847, and continue till Saturday, the 25th idem.
