( ৫ ৬ ) No. 100. To the Magistrates of the Lower Provinces. Government having, in their orders to the address of the Magistiate of Beerbhoom, dated 28th October last, been pleased to rule, that disbursements on account of Commission to Jail Darogahs at 35 per Cent, out of profits of Jail manufactures may be made without reference to it for authority, I have to request, that you will consider, as cancelled, that part of my Circular Orders of the 24th June last above referred to, which requiros your obtaining the orders of Government in support of such disbursements, and that you will in future, adjust all such charges in your accounts under the au thority of Memoranda particularizing the amount payable to the Darogah of your District Jail, which are to be prepared and furnished to you annually from this Department, forwarding the said documents to this Office duly receipted by the Jail I)arogah with the Cash Accounts in which the said clurges may appear. I liave the honor to annex hereto for your information and guidance, copy of a letter to my address from the Secretary to the Government of India in the Financial Department, dated the 18th ultimo, and to request that you will immediately give effect to the orders therein conveyed for the promotion of the general circulation and use of the smaller Silver Currency of British India, so far as at present lies in your power, and further, that you will be pleased to report to me at an early period, the quantity of Eight, Four, and Two Anna "ieces that you may still require to give more complete effect to the orders alluded to.
