That the said Tickets shall be delivered an nually within the ten days immediately preceding the first day appointed for the election between the hours of 10 A.M. and 4 P. M., daily, (Sundays and public holidays excepted.) 5. That any rate-payer wlio shall not be provided with the said Ticket within the time appointed in the preceding Clause, shall forfeit his right to vote at the said election. 6. That the rate-payer having obtained the said Ticket, and filled in the pame of the Candidate he desires to vote for, and affixed his signature to the same, shall personally attend at the elections, and deposit the same in a box provided for the reception thereof—which shall be considered as his vote in favor of the person whom he desires to be Commissioner for the Division in which he is a rate payer 7. That on the day and hour and at the place appointed for the election of elective Commissioners, four persons duly appointed by the Sheriff to officiate on the occasion, shall take their places at 10 o'clock A. M. at a table or tables on which shall be arranged before them four closed boxes with apertures for the reception of the Tickets of Voters, marked legibly in Roman and Native Characters, 1, 2, 3, 4, respectively, representing the four Divisions of the Town, into which the Voters shall cast their Tickets, and which Tickets shall not subsequently be removed, except by the scrutineers appointed to examine and report upon the same. 8. That at thẻ first Meeting, two Scrutineers shall be appointed for each Division by the Voters, before the commencement of the ballotting, to examine the ballot boxes of their respective 1)ivisions and report the same as specified in the following Clause. 9. That on the day following the election, the Scrutineers of the respective Divisions, shall in the presence of the Sheriff or his substitutes, cast up the votes, as they shall appear by the Tickets in the boxes, and the person who shall have the greatest number of Voters shall be declared duly elected for each Division respectively, beginning with the 1st Division and ending with the 4th Division. 10. That in the case of any two or more Candidates for the office of Commissioner...having the same number of votes, a new election shall take place, within one month, in the manner aforesaid. 11. That should a vacancy occur from any cause whatever, in the office of elective Commissioner, the vacancy shall be filled up by an election, to take place at such place and time as shall be appointed for that purpose by the Sheriff. This elec- ७१> ) tঐ টিকেটের পৃষ্ঠে এই কথা লেখা থাকিবেক ] নীচের লিখিত আমি এই টিকেটের মধ্যে লিখিত ऐाङ्गप्न७निम्ना इश्ब्रो अमूक •ाझीद्र कमिनामङ्गी ऋन चप्रशूरू य7खि*ङ्ग भरमानोउ इeम बिंदप्ङ्ग च्यांशाङ्ग भङ প্রকাশ করিতেছি । মত্তপ্রকাশকের নাম । কলিকাভা । ১৮৪৭ । ডিসেম্বর । ৪ । ঐ সকল টিকেট প্রতি বৎসরে মনোনীত করণার্থ নিরূপিত প্রথম দিবসের পূৰ্ব্বে দশ দিন থাকিতে (রবিবার ও পর্ক্সের দিনছাড়া) অন্য সকল দিবসে বেলা দশ ঘণ্টা অবধি চারি ঘণ্টাপৰ্য্যৰ দাখিল হুইবেক । ৫ । উক্ত প্রকরণের লিখিত নিরূপিত সময়ের মধ্যে টাক্লদে ওনিয়া যে কোন ব্যক্তি উক্ত প্রকার টিকেট না পান তিনি উক্ত মনোনীত করণ সময়ে আপনার মত প্রকাশ করণের ক্ষমতfরহিত হইবেন । ৬ । টাক্লদেওনিয়া উক্ত টিকেট পাইলে কমিস্যনরী পদাকাঙ্গিক যে ব্যক্তিল মনোনীত হওনের বিষয়ে আপনার মত প্রকাশ করিতে চাছেন তাহার নাম তাকাতে লিখিয়া ও তা হাতে দস্তুখং করিয়া মনোনীত করণের সময়ে স্বয়ং উপস্থিত হইবেন এব^ ঐ সকল টিকেট রাখিবার যে এক বাক্ল করা যাটবেক সেই বাঞ্জের মধ্যে তাঙ্ক ফেলিলেন এবং তিনি যে পল্লীর মধ্যে টাক্লদেওनिम्नl छन् ८मझे *तल्लीत कशिन7नङ्ग श्छेदांद्र दिश८ग्न যে ব্যক্তিকে মনোনীত করেন সেই ব্যক্তির পক্ষে তাহার মতের ঐ টিকেট ডান হইবেক । 鬱 ৭ । মনোনীত কমিস্যানরেরদের মনোনীত করিবার জন্যে যে দিবস ও ঘন্টা ও স্থান নিরূপণ হয় সেই দিবসে ও ঘন্টায় ও স্থানে সরিফ সাহেব যে চারি জনকে কৰ্মা থf রীতিমতে নিযুক্ত করেন সেই চারি জন বেলা দশ ঘণ্টার সময়ে এক কি ততোধিক মেজে বসিবেন সেই মেঞ্জেল উপর চারিট বন্ধ বান্ধ্র থাকিবেক এবং মভপ্রক'শকেরদের টিকেট ফেলিবার জন্যে ঐ সকল বাক্লে এক১ ছিদ্র থাকিবেক আর ঐ বাঞ্জের উপর নগরের চারি পল্লীর নিদর্শন ইঙ্গরেঞ্জী ও লাঙ্গলা ভাষাতে ক্রমশঃ ১ ৷ ২ ৷ ৩। ৪ অঙ্গ সপস্ট লেখা থাকিবেক এবং মতপ্রকাশকের ঐ বাক্লের ভিতরে আপনারদের টিকেট ফেলিবেন এবং তদ্বিষয়ের রিপোর্ট করণার্থ যে পরীক্ষকদিগকে নিযুক্ত করা যায় তাহারদের ভিন্ন কেহ এ টিকেট বাহির করি বেন मl । ৮ । প্রথম বৈঠকে গুলিবাটের সময়ের পূৰ্ব্বে মত প্রকাশকের প্রতি পল্লীর নিমিত্তে দৃষ্ট ফন পরীক্ষককে নিযুক্ত করিলেন তাতারা আপন২ পল্লীৰ গুলিবাটের বাকু খুলির নীচেপ লিখিত প্রকরণের নির্দিষ্টমতে তদ্বিষমের রিপোর্ট করবেন । ৯ । মনোনীত করণের পর দিল সে প্রতি পল্পর পরীক্ষ করা সরিফ সাহেব কিয়া তাহার প্রতিনিধিরদের সমুখে বাক্লে ফেল। টিকেট অনুসারে “ বোট" অর্থাৎ মতসকলে ঠিক দিলেন এবং প্রথম পল্লীতে আরম্ভ করিয়া চতুর্থ পল্লীতে শেষ কারখা যে পল্লীর র্যাহার পক্ষে মতের আধিক্য কয স্কিনি সেই পল্লীতে রীতিমতে মনোনীত হইয়াছেন এমত প্রকাশ হইবেক । ১০ । যদি কমিস্যনরী পদ"কাক্ষি দুষ্ট কি ততোধিক ব্যক্তির পক্ষে মতের সমান সRখ্যা হয তবে এক মাসের মধ্যে উক্ত প্রকারে মনোনীত করণার্থ পুনরায় বৈঠক হইবেক । C -> 線 ১১ । যদি কোন কারণে মনোনীত কমিসানরের পদ হয় তবে অন্য ব্যক্তিকে সেই শূন্য পদে নিযুক্ত করণার্থ সরিফ সাহেব যে সময় ও স্থান নিরূপণ করেন সেই সময় ও স্থানে অন্য ব্যক্তিকে মনোনীত করা যাইবেক । এই মনোনীজ কার্য উক্ত প্রকারে করা যাইবেক [Government Gazette, 21st December, 1847.] 2 D
