ENT, LEGISLATIVE, Thf 8TH MARCH, 1849 The following Draft of a proposed Act was read in Council for the first tims on the 8th of March, 1849 * 'Act No OIT ] 8 £9 An Act for the Fncouragement of Merchant Seaтеп K or the encouragement and protection of Merchant Seamen, It is enacted as follows I The Master of any Vessel navigated from any port of Registry within the Territories under the Government of the East India Company, and legistered as a British Wessel, under the Statutes of Parliament and Acts of the Governor General of Indıa ın Councıl, ın force for the tıme beıng, for the Registry of British Wessels shall not carry to Sea any Seaman, as one of his Crew, (Apprentices excepted), unless he shall first make and enter into an agreement in writing with such Seaman, specifying what wages such Seaman is to receive, and the quantity and quality of provisions he is to receive, the capacity in which he is to act, or serve, and the voyage in which the Wessel is to be employed II Every such agreement shall be in the form set forth in Schedule (A) annexed to this Act, or such other form as shall be from time to time ap proved by the Governor General of India in Council, and shall be properly dated, and shall be signed by the Master and Seamen respectively in the presence of the Registrar of Seamen, or by some one appointed by hum for that purpose, who, after আইনের মুলাবিদ। ८णकांछे खेलिग्नश । * ८मलीग्न छि०rाif८प्रमॆ । , ' লেজিসলেটিৰ । rপ্রস্তায়িত্ব রাষ্টনেৰ নীচেৰ লিখিত মুলাবিদ। ইজরেী ১৮৪৯ সালের ৮ মার্চ তাৰিখে হজুর ধীন্সেঙ্গে প্রথমবাব পাঠ কৰা গেল । छत्रप्दङी २v8> नॉल - याँकुछे । বাণিজ্য জাহাঙ্গেব খালাসীবদেব প্রবৃত্তি জন্মা ওনের অষ্টিন । বাণিজ্য জাহাজেৰ খালাসীৰঙ্গের প্রবৃত্তি দেওন এবং বক্ষা কৰণার্থে নীচের লিপিতমতে ছকুম হইল । ১ ধারা । যে কোন জাহাজ ব্রিটনীয় জাহাজেৰ রেঞ্জি ষ্টৰী কবণেব বিষযে সময়ক্রমে পার্লিমেন্টেব যে২ আইন ও শ্ৰীযুত গবরনর জেনরশ বাহাদুয়েব হজ্বর কৌন্সেলের ८ग° चाइम छलम शाप्क डाइाद अनूनाप्द्र बिग्नेम्रोब জাহাজ বলিয়া বেজিষ্টী হইয়াছে এব^ কোম্পানি বাহাদুবেৰ শাসিত দেশেৰ মধ্যে রেজিষ্টৰীসম্পৰ্কীয ८कjन्र ननाद श्केंcड दाशु झन्न rमर्हे छाँछfcङद यथrश्र धनि কোন খালাসীৰ সজে লিখিত বন্দোবস্তু না করেন এবং ঐ খালাসীৰ যে২ মহিশূন পাইবেক এবং যত অথবা ষে প্রকাৰ আহিবিদি পহিবেক এব° যে পদে নিযুক্ত হুইবেক অথবা কর্ম করিবেক এবং ঐ জাহাজ ষে যাত্রাতে নিযুক্ত হইবেক তাহ ঐ কন্দোবস্তপত্ৰে নির্দিষ্ট ম৷ কবেন তবে আপ্রেটিসছাড়া আপনার জাহাঙ্গী ব্যক্তিৰ এক জনস্বৰূপ কোন খালাসীকে সমুদ্রপথে লইয়া যাইবেন ন। ইতি । ২ ধাবা । এই অষ্টিনের শেষের লিখিত্ত A চিকিত্ত তফসীলে যে পাঠ নির্দিষ্ট আছে অথবা সম্বয়ক্রমে aযুত গবর্নর জেনৰল বাচাদুব কম্বুব কৌন্সেঙ্গে অন্য ষে পাঠে সমত হন সেই পাঠানুসাবে এইমত প্রত্যেক বন্দোবস্তুপত্ৰ লেখা যাইবেক এব^ তাহাতে উ তারিগ থাকিবেক এব^ তাহাতে খালাঙ্গীরদের রেজিষ্ট্রাব সাচেহেৰ অথবা তাহাৰ দ্বাৰা ভগ্নিমিত্তে নিযুক্ত অন্য সাহেবের লাचाicङ झे ब्रांश८छद्र चाथ7च्ह् e थांब्लॉजींद्भ1 मड५९ कब्लिप्दन । hearing the agreement read over and explained to এবং ঐ রেজিষ্ট্রার সাহেব প্রত্যেক খাদাগীকে যে ভাৰ৷ [Government Gazette, 22d May, 1849 | 2 Ꭻ W
