( 8 8 & ) held under this Act shall be subject, with or with out appeal, to their revision III The Collector may appoint Constables, Darogahn, Jemadars, Burkundauzes, and other Of ficers, for collection of the said Revenue and prevention of Smuggling , and the Officers so ap pointed, beside their ordinary respective designa tions, shall be styled “Abkaree Officers" IV Every person who shall sell, by retail, any Spirituous or Fermented Liquors or intoxicating drugs, hereinafter specified, within the Town of Calcutta, without a license for that purpose un der the hand and scal of the Collector of Calcutta, shall be liable to a fine, not exceeding Five Hun drud Rupees, for each sale but this enactment shall not apply to wholesale dealers selling such small quantities of Beer, Wines or Spil its, as may appear to the Collector to be intended only as samples V A sale of English or I oreign Beel, Wine or Spirits, in any quantity, not oxcedding two gallons, or of Beng al Arrack or Rum or other Country Spırıt ın any quantıty mot exceedıng one beer, or of Tauree in any quantity not exceeding tour seers, or of Ganjah or Bhang or any prepara t1on or admixture of thc samt, un any quantity not exceeding one quartel of a seer, or of Churrus, Opium, Chundoo, or Muddut, or any preparation ol admixture of the same, in any quantity not ex teedıng the welıght of İı ve tol alın, shull bi) cemed a retail sale within the moaning of this Act WI. The sale of Bungal Arrack or Rum, or other Country Spirit, or of Taulee, or of Ganjah, or Bhang, or any preparation or admixture of the same, or of Churrus, Opium, Chundoo, or Mud dut, or any preparatıon or admixture of the samu, in quantitles larger than those spocified for each article in Section V of this Act, is prohibited , and every person, who shall aut in breach of this plohibition, shall be liable to the fine prescribed in Settion XV, for the illicit possession of these wrticles but this prohibition does not apply to the sale of Spirituous or Fermented Liquors and intoxicating drugs, imported into Calcutta under passes from the Collector, or other Officer duly unpowered in that behalf, and supplied by wholesale to licensed retail dealers, or to the sale of Bengal Rum under bond for expoitation by sea, or to the sale of Opium intended for exportation by sea, and covered by a Certificate to that cffect, issued under the authority of the Board of Cus tonis, Salt and Opium VII. The Board of Customs, Salt and Opium, shall have authority, at all times, to legulate the torin of licenses to be granted under this Act, and to alter and add to the conditions thereof V II 1 Every person tuking out a license for the retail sule of Spirituous or Formented Liquors, or intoxicating drugs under this Act, shall exe dute a counterpart engagement un exact confor muty with the tenor of such license [গবণমেন্ট গেজেট । ১৮৪৯ । ২৮ আগষ্ট ] সকল কার্ধ্য র্তাহারদের পুনর্দৃষ্টির অধীনে থাকিবেক हडि । ৩ ধাবা । ঐ কালেক্টৰ সাহেব ঐ বাজস্ব আদায় कद्रrणद अcमा ७द९ मानूल मा मिझा मे २ जुदT বিক্রয়েব মি লাবণার্থে ইউরোপীয় সাবজন ও দাবোগা ও জমাদাৰ ও বৰকন্দ’জ ও অন্যান্য আমলা নিযুক্ত কৰিতে পাবেন এবং ঐরুপে নিযুক্ত আমলাব। আপন? সাধাৰণ গ্যাडिद ठाडिदिख् “ श्रांयकाङ्गीद श्रांप्रल1” 4ाई बामदिग्भि में, হক্টবেন ইতি । ৪ ধাবা । যে কোন ব্যক্তি কলিকাতাৰ কালেকটৰ লাহেবেৰ তন্নিমিত্তে দস্তখৎকৰা ও মোহবকবা পট্টিাবিনা কলিকাতা শহরেব মধ্যে এক্ট অষ্টিনের পশ্চাৎ, নির্দিষ্ট কোন মদিব। অথব গাঙ্গাধৰ শত্রাব কি মদিক দ্রব্য খুজৰ বিক্রম কৰে সেই ব্যক্তি প্রত্যেক বিক্রমেব জন্যে পাচ শত টাকাব অনধিক গুধীমানবি যোগ্য হইবেক। কিন্তু rয থোক ব্যবসাধিব। এমত অলপ পরিমাণ ধীর শবাব বা ওয়াইন শ বাব বা মদিব। বিক্রয় কৰে যে কলেকটব সাহেব তাহ কেবল নমুনাব মত জ্ঞান কবেন তাহাবদেৰ বিষযে এই আইন খাটিবেক না ইতি । • ৫ ধাবা । দুষ্ট গেলনেব অনধিক স্টজবেঞ্জী কি বিদেশীয় বীৰ শৰাব বা ওয়াইন শবfব কি মজিবাব অথবা এক শেৱেব অনধিক বাঙ্গলা দেশেৰ অাবাক অথবা বম শবাব কি এদেশীয় অন্য শবাবেব কিম্ব চাবি শেষেব অনধিক তাড়িব অথবা এক পোআব অনধিক গাজ। কিম্বা ভাঙ্গেব বা সেই বস্তু ত প্রস্তুত আখৰ মিশ্রিত কোন দুহেব কিম্বা পাচ তোলা ওজনেৰ অনধিক চবস বা আফন কিম্বা চণ্ডু বা মদতেব কিম্ব সেই ২ বস্তুতে প্রস্তম্ভ কি মিশ্রিত কোন দুবোৰ বিক্রয় এই আইনেৰ অৰ্থেৰ মধ্যে খুজব। বিক্রয় জ্ঞান হইবেক ইতি । ৬ খাব | বাঙ্গল দেশেব অবিকি অe'ব বম শবাব কি এদেশীয অন্য শবাব কি স্ব। তাড়ি কি গাঞ্জা কি ভাঙ্গ কিম্ব তাহাতে প্রস্তু ও কি মিশ্রিত অন্য কোন দ্রব্য কিম্বা চষস কি অফিীন কি চণ্ডু কিম্ব মদ ত অথবা তাহাতে প্রস্তুত কি মিশ্রিত অন্য কোন দ্রব্য এই আইনেৰ ৫ ধfবাতে প্রত্যেক বস্তুৰ যে পৰিমাণ নির্দিষ্ট হইয়াছে তাহাব অধিক বিক্রয় কবিতে নিষেধ হইল । এবথ যে প্র- • ত্যেক ব্যক্তি এই নিষেধ লঙ্ঘন কৰে সেই ব্যক্তি এই দ্রব্য বে অষ্টিনীমতে আপনাব নিকটে ৰাখিবাব যে জবীমান। ১৫ ধাবাভে নির্দিষ্ট আছে সেই জৰী মানবি যোগ্য হুইবেক । কিন্তু যে মদিবা কি গাঙ্গাধব শবfব এবং মাদক দ্রব্য কালেক্টৰ সাহেবেব কিম্বা ঐ বিষয়ে উপযুক্ত ক্ষমতাপ্রাপ্ত অন্য কার্য্যকাবকের ছড়িচিন্ঠীরুমে কলিকাতায় अॉयनांनी श्ड़े झ1*ाऊँtधाश्व भूछदा द7दनाग्निबनिकारक থোকে দেওয়া যায তহিব বিক্রয়েব বিষয়ে অথবা যে বাঙ্গলা দেশের রম শবাব সমুদ্রপথে বস্তানী হইবার নিমিত্তে বগু দিয়া বিক্রয হয় তাহাব বিষয়ে কিম্বা যে আফৗন সমুদ্রপথে বস্থানী কৰিবার অভিপ্রায় আছে এবং তন্নিমিত্তে হাসিল ও নিমক ও অফিীনের বোর্ডেব হুকুমক্রমে সর্টিফিকট পাওযা গিয়াছে তাহাব বিক্রয়েব বিষয়ে ঐ নিষেধ খাটে ন৷ ইতি | ৭ ধাবা । হাসিল ও নিমক ও আযীনেক বোর্ডেৰ সাহেবেৰা এষ্ট আইনানুসাবে দেওয়া পাট্টাব পাঠ সৰ্ব্বদ। নিকপণ কবিতে পাবেন এব" তাছবি নিয়ম মতান্তব কবিতে পাবেন ও নুতন নিয়ম কৰিতে পাবেন ইতি । ৮ ধৰি । যে কোন ব্যক্তি মদিব। কি গাঙ্গাধৰ1 শবাব কিম্বা মাদক দ্রব্য খুজব। বিক্রয় কৰিবাৰ নিমিত্তে এই আইনানুসাবে পাট্ট লয় সেই ব্যক্তি ঐ পাট্টাৰ :* ভাবানুসাবে "এক কবুলিষৎ লিখিয়া দিবেক हैड्डि ।
