No. 3470M.- The 3rd July 1897.--Whereas a notification No. 1295M., dated the 9th March 1897, was published at page 62, Part IB of the Calcutta Gazette of the 10th idem, declarìng the intention of the Lieutenant-Governor to extend the provisions of Part IX of the Bengal Municipal Aot, III of 1884, as amnended by Bengal Acts IV of 1894 and II of 1896, to the Jhalokati Municipality, in the district of Backergunge, and whereas no objection has been raised to the proposal within one month from the date of the publication of the above notification within the Municipality, it is hereby notified for general information that, in the exercise of the power vested in the Local Government by section 221 of the Act, and in accordance with the recommendation of the Commissioners of the Jhalokati Municipality, made at a meeting, the Lieutenant-Governor sanctions the extension of the above provisions of the Municipal Act to the said Municipality. IRлвтікY, Seoy. to the Govt. of Bergal. বঙ্গদেশের শ্ৰীযুত লেপেটনেণ্ট গবর্ণর সাহেবের আদেশ. মুনিসিপল ও স্থানীয় । বিজ্ঞাপন । ৩৪৭• এম, নম্বর –১৮৯৭ সাল ৩রা জুলাই –বাখরগঞ্জ জিলার অন্তর্গত ঝালকাটি মুনিসিপালিটীতে ১৮৯৪ সালের বঙ্গীয় ৪ আইন ও ১৮১৬ সালের বঙ্গীয় ২ আইন দ্বারা সংশোধিত বঙ্গদেশের মুনিসিপালিটী বিষয়ক ১৮৮৪ সালের ৩ আইনের নবম পরিচ্ছেদের বিধান প্রচলিত করণার্থে খ্ৰীযুত লেপ্টেনেন্ট গবর্ণর সাহেবের অভিপ্রায় প্রকাশক ১৮৯৭ সালের ৯ই মাচ্চ তারিখের ১২১৫ এম, নং এক বিজ্ঞাপন ঐ মাসের ১০ তারিখের কলিকাতা গেজেটের ১B খণ্ডের ৬২ পৃষ্ঠায় প্রকাশ করা গেলেও উক্ত বিজ্ঞাপন উক্ত মুনিসিপালিটীতে প্রকাশিত হইবার তারিখ অবধি এক মাসের মধ্যে উক্ত প্রস্তাব সম্বন্ধে কোন আপত্তি উপস্থিত করা না যাওয়াতে সাধারণের অবগত্যৰ্থে এতদ্বারা এই সংবাদ দেওয়া যাইতেছে যে, শ্ৰীযুত লেস্টেনেন্ট গবর্ণর সাহেব স্থানীয় গবৰ্ণমেণ্টের প্রতি উক্ত আইনের ২২১ ধারামতে প্রদত্ত ক্ষমতাম্বসারে কার্য্য করিয়া এবং ঝালকাটি মুনিসিপালিটীর সভাগত কমিশনরদের অম্বরোধক্রমে মুনিসিপল আইনের উক্ত বিধান উক্ত মুনিসিপালিটীতে প্রচলিত করিবার অনুমতি দিলেন । এচ , এচ, রিসলী, বঙ্গদেশের গবর্ণমেণ্টের সেক্রেটরী ।
