NOTIFICATION. No. 1208T.M.—The 27th October 1897.--Whereas a notification No. 3646S., dated the 13th July 1897, was published at page 170, Part IB of the Calcutta Gazette of the 14th idem, declaring the intention of the Lieutenant-Governor to extend the provisions of sections 1 to 8, 10 to 12 and 26 to 33 of the Bengal Vaccination Act, V of 1880, as amended by Act II of 1887, to certain places in the Rampur Håt subdivision of the district of Birbhum, within the limits noted below, and whereas no objection has been raised to the proposal within six weeks from the date of the publication of the above notification within the places referred to, it is hereby notified for general information that, in the exercise of the power vested in the Local Government by section 1 of Act V of 1880, the Lieutenant-Governor sanctious the extension of the aforesaid sections of the Act to those places, viz., Rampur II at, Khalasupara, Bogtoi, Kalisara and Brahmanigram— Bounded on the— North-By the Railway Volunteers' Rifle Range and the Dighi tank. South.-By the Shanghata stream. East.—By the western boundaries of villagos Dakhalbat, Benegram, Khanpura and Kumcdda. A. West.—By the eastern boundary of village Srifala. II. H. No. 1252T.M.–The 29th October 1897—Whereas a notification No. 4142M., dated the 9th August 1897, was published at page 193, Part IB of the Calcutta Gazette of the 11th idem, declarimg the intention of the Lieutenant-Governor to confirm the rules set forth below, which were framed by the Commissioners of the Barisal Municipality, in the district of Backerguuge, under section 8, Act XX of 1887, for the protoction of wild birds and game within the limits of the above Municipality, and whereas no objection has been raised to the proposal within one month from the date of the publication of the above notification within the Municipality, it is hereby notified that the said rules are confirmed by the LieutenantGovernor under clause 1, section 3 of the Act, and are published for general information, under clause 5, section 6 of the General Clauscs Act I of 1887:— RULEs UNDER SECTion 3 of ACT XX of 1887 rok THE BA Risai. Rules. 1. “Wild birds" for the purposes of these rules shall include jungle-fowl, pea-fowl, partridges, quail, plover, whistling toal, painted snipe, cotton teal and every bird killed for the sake of its plumage. 2. The Local Government having by notification declared that the provision of section 3, Act XX of 1887, shall apply to hares and deer, the following rules will apply te those animals as well as to wild birds. 3. The breeding season for the purposes of these rules shall extend from the 1st April to the 30th September. 4. Whoever during the breeding season has in his possession within the limits of the Municipality of Barisal any wild bird, deer, or hare, recently killed or taken or exposes for
