ORDERS BY THE LIEUTENANT-GOVERNOR OF BFNGAL. SSASAS DDMMS HAS MMSMS SMSSSS MUNICIPAL AND LOCAL. میدانستم مستعمی-مم NOTIFICATION. No. 5635M.—The 16th December 1897.--Whereas a notification No. 779T.M., dated the 22nd September 1897, was published at page 221, Part IB of the Calcutta Gasette of the 29th idem, declaring the intention of the Lieutenant-Governor to extend the provisioms of Part IX of the Bengal Municipal Act, III of 1884, as modified up to November 1896, to the Kandi Ward of the Kandi Municipality, in the district of Murshidabad, and whereas no objection has been raised to the proposal within one month from the date of the publication of the above notification within the Municipality, it is hereby notified for general information that, in the exeroise of the power vested in the Local Government by section 221 of the Act, and in accordance with the recommendation of the Commissioners of the Kandi Municipality, made at a meeting, the Lieutenant-Governor sanctions the extension of the above provisions of the Municipal Act to the said Municipality. No. 5638M.—The 16th December 1897.--Whereas a notification No 802T.M., dated the 22nd September 1897, was published at page 221, Part IB of the Calcutta Gazette of the 29th ;dem, declaring tho intention of the Lieutenant-Governor to extend the provisions of Part X of the Bengal Municipal Act, III of 1884, as modified up to 1st November 1896, to the Pirojpur Municipality, in the district of Backergunge, and whereas no objection has b on raised to the proposal within one month from the date of the publication of the above notification within the Municipality, it is hereby notified for general information that, in the exercise of the power vested in the Local Government by section 221 of the Act, and in accordance with the recommendation of the Commissioners of the Pirojpur Municipality, made at a meeting, the Lieutenant-Governor sanctions the extension of the above provisions of the Municipal Act to the said Municipality.
