The 21st June 1877.-Under the powers vested in him by Section 2 of Act II (B.C.) of 1867 (an Act to provide for the punishment of public gaming and the keeping of gaming houses), the Lieutenant-Governor of Bengal is pleased to authorize the extension of the provisions of Section l l of the said Act to the town of Naraingunge. The limits of the town for the purposes of the Act will be the same as those for the purposes of Act VI (B.C.) of 1868, published in the Calcutta Gazette of the 10th March 1869, page 390. S. C. The 22nd June 1877.-Under Section 3, Act I (B.C.) of 1876 (an Act to provide for the voluntary registration of Mahomedan Marriages and Divorces), the Lieutenant-Governor has been pleased to grant a license to Moulvi Gholam Quadir, authorizing him to register Mahomedan marriages and divorces and to exercise the other functions of a Mahomcdan Registrar within the thana of Fatikchari within the Sudder Sub-division in the district of Chittagong. The 25th June 1877.- Under Scetion 50, Act X of 1872, the Licutenant-Governor has been plcased to direct that the Joint-Magistrate of Balasore for the time being, laboo Radha Raman Das, Baboo Bhugwan Chundra Das, Baboo Prosomno Coomar Ghosal, and Moonsher Abdussubhan Khan, Honorary Magistrates, or any two or more of them sitting together, shall form a 13ench for the trial of cases arising within the Balasore thana in the district of Balasore. The Lieutenant-Governor has also been pleased to direct that when, under Section 51, Act X of 1872, this Bench czerciscs the powers of a Magistrate of the First Class, it shall also have power to try summarily all or any of the offences inentioned in Section 222 of the said Act, and that when similarly it exercises the powers of a Magistrate of the Second or Third Class, it shall also have power to try summarily all or any of the offences mentioned in Section 225 of the said Act. The 26th June 1877.-It is hereby notified that under Section 3, Regulation VI of 1819, the Licutenant-Governor has been pleased to declare as public the two ferries at Achintola and Jhalmalia, if the district of Rajslabye, the former ovсr the rivcr Narod, where it intersects the road from Beauleah to Pubna, and the latter over the Mohesh Khan-ka-Khal, where it interscots the road from Beauleah to Nattore. The 21st June 1877.-It is hereby notified, under the provisions of Section 15 of Act V of 1861, that, with a view to the preservation of the peace in the villages Jamooreeah, Dhundwl, Toorakhum, Rewah, Shamdih, Nizai and Anjoonar, of Talook Baragwan, in the jurisdiction of police-station Pukri Darawn, in the district of Gya, where a dispute exists regarding the possession and rents of those villages, the Lieutenant-Governor has sanctioned [Government Gazette 3rd July 1877.]
