TORCLARATION The 19th February 1886 –Wnereas it appears to the Lieutenant-Governor o Bengal that land is required to be taken up by Government at the expense of the Calcutta Municipality for a public purpose, viz., for a new road connecting Mullick's Laue with Shampooker, bye-sane, it is hereby declared that for the above purpose to piece of land, No. 8/1, Shampooker Street, in the Town of Calcutta, district 24-Pergunnahs, measuring, more or less, 2 cottahs 10 chattacks and 28 square sect only, are required. The boundaries of the land are as follow :—On the north by portion of premises No. 8/1, Shampooker Street; on the south by No 29, Rajah Nobo Kissen's Street; on the east by Shaimpooker byo-lane, and om the weet hy Mullick's Lane. Plan and specifications of the land are filed in the Office of the Commissioners for public wa, - juspection. This declaration is made, under the provisions of section 6 of Act X of 1870, to all whom it may concern. R. H. Wilson, Offg. Seew. to the Govt. of Bengal NOTIFICATIQN The 17th February 1886 —Baboo Ras Behary Naik, Temporary Deputy Collector, Balasore, is vested with the powers of a Collector under Act IX (BC) of 1880, to he exercised under the control and supervision of the Collector of the district. The 11th February 1886.-It is hereby notified for general information that the Lieutenant-Governor has been ple ised to make the following rules under section 138 (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), (k), (J), (g), (s), and (?) of the Bengal Local Self-Government Act III (B.C.) of 1885. These rules will form Parts IV, V, and VI, as indicated below, of the rules made under the Act. PA RT IV Q PIROCREDINGS OF BOARDS Quorum 65 The quorum necessary for the transaction of business at a meeting of a Board “hall be one-half of the total number of members of the Board, when any of the following subjects are to be disposed of at such meeting : (a)—Scale of establishment and salaries (section 33) (b)--Rules for pensions and gratuities (section 35) (c) — Rate of Road Cess (set tion 46). (d)—Preparation of annual budget estimate (section 47). (e) --Loans (section 50) 釁 (f)—loye-laws (section 139). (9)—Election of Chairman and Vice-Chairman (scetions 22, 23, 25, and 26) (4)—Removal of Chairman or Vice-Chairman (section 28).
