Government medical subordinates in charge of hospitals and dispensaries under the management of District Boards shall be entitled to such leave as may be allowable to them. under the Civil Leave Code, The leave shall be granted by the Inspector-General gå Qivil Hospitals after consultation with the District Board, and the salary, to which the officer may be ontitled while on loave shall be paid by Government. The travelling allowange of his successor shall be provided by the District Board, except in the case of special leave on private affairs, when it shall be paid by the medical officer himself. * * a 5 Medical officers not in Government service shall be entitled to such leave as the District Board may provide in rules framed under clause (g), section 32 of the Local Selftrovernment Act The leave shall be granted by the District Board, who shall also, provide for such extra exponditure as may be incurred on account of the pay of the medical officer while on leave, and tho pay and travelling allowange of his successor. 6. The pay to which a Government medical subordinate in charge of a dispensary or hospital under the management of a 1)istrict Board is entitled is the pay of his grade in the public service In the event of his becoming antitled, on promotion, to a higher salary than he has pleviously recoivod, such higher salary shall be paid by the District Board, and Government cannot be called upon to replace him by an officer entitled only to the lower salary previously paid. If the medical officer is not in Government service, his pay shall be determined by the District Board. Supply of Medicines 7 District Boards may obtain their medicines and instruments either from the Government stores or from 1 rivate vendors, provided that a District Board previously supplied ly private vendors cannot indent on the Government stores without the expross sanction of (i.overnment In either case the 1udents of the medical officer shall be checked and counterbigned by the Civil Surgeon, and the medical stores, if obtained from a private vendor, inust also be approved by the Civil Surgeon 8 Medical stores will be supplied to District Boards * Goot too includes the percentage from the Government Medical Store Department at cost tixod from time to timo l y Govornmueııt tri cover expenditure on supervision and price * It will be in the discretion of the Inspectorother charges of the Medical Store IDepartment, General of Civil Hospitals to sanction or disallow any demands ° Annual indents must be made for such Governmont medical stores as may be 1equired, and must be submitted on the date lived by the Civil Surgeon Payment for such stores must be made within a month of the receipt of the account by the District Board. A copy of the monthly ançounts of the institutious, accompanied by monthly returns of work, shall be sent to him at the it running of each month 13. A copy from the procoedungs of every meeting of J. District Board, so far as they relate to hospitals and dispun-uries, shall be forwarded to the Civil Surgeon
