How many grown people are there in this world, who though able to read, never open a book 7 Hundrcds of thousands, if not 'millions. The subject then. it will be admitted. is worthy of much attention, and all well-wishers of the youth of India should hail, with pleasure the appearance of every book, however humble, calculated to form an attractive member in the Bengali Child’s series. With the objects herein alluded to, has the accompanying little book been prepared. It can hardly be said to be an adapted tale as but a few facts have becu taken from the original model.
