Yajnabalkya : “The man thal we know—he man will hands, feel and limbs—how is is that he is enabled io function ? with the help of what glory or force 2" And the sage replied : किं जयोतिरयं पुरुष: ? प्रादित्यञ्जयोति: सस्त्राड़ित्तःि छःीवाच । छच्चहदारण्यक- Chop IV. "O King, it is the glory of the sun which enables man io come and go and discharge all his funclions" And Janaka said : “h is irue. When the sun seis, man works in the light of the moon ; when dhe moon sels, man works in the light of fire ; and when fire is exiinguished, man works with the glory of speech ; and when speech even is exiinguishad —i.e., when all exiernal manifestalion is slopped— then it is the soul or self alone with the help of which he works".
