It may be said with some show of reason that the events narrated in this history before the time of Manu Satyavrata except those which are explicitly mentioned in the Puranas to have occurred in India before the time of that Manu, such as those in the life of Bharata the chief among the antediluvian Aryan princes of India from whom the name Bharatavarsa in derived, also took place in India such as the acts of Manu Swaymahu, Vena, Prahlada and Dhruva ; but when we consider that the Puranist who narrates them does not mention in most places of his work any spot in India as the scene of those events which he does while doing so those that took place after the reign of Manu Satyavrata, who escaped from tha deluge it can be safely presumed that those events must have taken place not in the colony, that is, India but the parent country, that is, Central Asia.
