পরে সেকন্দরশাহ তাঁহার সর্ব্বাপেক্ষা প্রিয় এই মিত্রের স্বহস্তেই রক্তপাত দেখিয়া আপনার অপরাধ অতিগুরু বােধ করিয়া তিন দিবসপর্য্যন্ত অতিদুঃখার্ণবে মগ্নতাপ্রযুক্ত কি সরকারী কি নিজ তাবৎ কার্য্য বিরতিতে একেবারে অচৈতন্য প্রায় থাকিলেন। অপর তাঁহার সেনাপতিরা তাঁহাকে এই দুঃখাবস্থাহইতে চেতিত করিয়া সরকারী কার্য্য করিতে পুনর্ব্বার লওয়াইলেন।
