অপর তাঁহারা ছিন্নভিন্ন হইয়া উত্তরকালে পশ্চিমদেশে যে সকল রাজ্য উৎপন্ন হয় তাহার মূল স্থাপন করেন।
কিন্তু বোধ হয় যে তাঁহারদের একাংশ বাবেলনে থাকিলেন এবং মহোৎসাহী নিমরোদনামক এক ব্যক্তি তাঁহারদের কর্ত্তা হইলেন। অনুমান হয় যে তিনিই প্রথমে ঐ সীনারের মাঠে তাঁহারদিগকে আনয়ন করিয়া থাকিবেন। তদ্বিষয় ধর্ম্ম গ্রন্থে লেখে যে তিনি ঈশ্বরের সম্মুখে এক মহামৃগয়ু ছিলেন তাহার অর্থ এই হইতে পারে যে তিনি আপনার অনুগত লোক লইয়া চতুর্দ্দিগস্থ আরণ্য পশুসকলের প্রতি আক্রমণ করিলেন যেহেতুক বন্যপশুরদিগকে উচ্ছিন্ন না করিলে তৎসময়ে মনুষ্য বর্গের বসতি স্থানের বিস্তারিত হইতে পারিত না। তদনন্তর নিমরোদ বাবেলনে আপনার রাজ্যের মুল স্থাপন করেন পরে অন্যান্য নগরও বসান। তাঁহার রাজ্যের আরম্ভ খ্রীষ্টীয়ান শকের পূর্ব্ব ২২১৩ বৎসর। তিনি ১৪৮বৎসর

A number appear, however, to have remained at Babylon, and Nimrod, a man of great enterprize, probably the person who had originally conducted the colonists to Shinar, took the command of them.
