}{') মানসিংহের আগমন শুনিয়া সরকারের কৰ্ম্মচারী বলিয়া সুবেদারের প্রতি সম্মান প্রদর্শনের জন্ত ভবানন্দ তাহার নিকট গমন করিয়াছিলেন। মানসিংহও তাহার দ্বারা যে অত্যন্ত উপকৃত হইয়াছিলেন, তদ্বিষয়ে সন্দেহ নাই। প্রতাপবিজয়ের পর তিনি ভবানন্দকে মহৎপুর প্রভৃতি ১৪টি পরগণার জমীদারী প্রদান করেন। অদ্যপি তাহার সনন্দ কৃষ্ণনগর রাজবাটৰে বিদ্যমান আছে। তাছার পর ভবন ইসলাম খাঁর সুবেদারী সময়ে কানুনগো পদ প্রাপ্ত হন। তাহারও সনন্দ রাজবাটীতে দেখিতে পাওয়া ষায় ৷ * কৃষ্ণনগর প্রদেশ অতিক্রম করিয়া মানসিংহ বৰ্ত্তমান ২৪ পরগণা জেলার বারাসত ও বসিরহাট উপবিভাগের মধ্য দিয়া প্রতাপের রাজধানী যশোর অভিমুখে অগ্রসর হন। এই সমস্ত প্রদেশ প্রতাপের রাজ্যেরই অন্তর্গত ছিল মানসিংহ আপনার বিপুল বাহিনী লইয়া সত্বর যশোরে উপস্থিত হইবার জন্ত একটি বিস্তৃত পথ প্রস্তুত করিয়া অগ্রসর হইয়াছিলেন। সেই পথটিকে অদ্যপি গৌড়-বঙ্গের পথ মানসিংহের যশোরযাত্র । বলিয়া থাকে। গৌড়-বঙ্গ হইতে স্পষ্টই প্রতীয়মান হয় যে, এষ্ট পথের + “Bhoveaund, a Bramin, was a Mohrer in the Hughly Canongoe Duptar, and got himself appointed to the Zemindary of Pergunnah Bugwan, Nuddea &c. 14 Mehals, in room of Hurlyhoo and Cassinaut Chowdry.” (Account of the origin of and progressive increase of the four great Zemindaries of Bengal, delivered in to the Bengal Revenue Committee in 1786, by their, Dewan Ganga Govinda Sing. -Dissertation concerning the Landed Property of Bengal. by C W.
