পাথুরিয়াঘাটার ঠাকুর বংশ। 8宁 যখন ইউরোপের বিভিন্ন স্থানে পরিভ্রমণ করিয়া বেড়াইতেছিলেন, তখন অষ্ট্ৰীয়ার সম্রাট তাঙ্গাকে নিজের একখানি তৈলচিত্ৰ প্ৰদান করেন। ১৯০২ খ্ৰীষ্টাব্দে জুলাই মাসে তিনি রোমের মহামান্য পোপের সহিত সাক্ষাৎ কৰিলার অনুমতি পান। তিনি পোপ মহোদয়কে ভারতীয় শিল্পজাত কয়েকটি মূল্যবান জিনিষ ও কিছু সুগন্ধি দ্রব্য উপহার দেন। মহামান্য পোপ তাহা সাদরে ও সানন্দে গ্ৰহণ করেন। ইউরোরোপ ভ্ৰমণকালে তত্ৰত্য যাবতীয় অভিজাত সম্প্রদায় মহারাজের সচিত অকুষ্ঠিতচিত্তে আলাপ পরিচয় করেন এবং তঁহাকে সাদরে অভ্যর্থনা করেন। ১৯০২ খ্ৰীষ্টাব্দে দরবার উৎসব সমাপ্ত হইলে মহারাজা প্ৰদ্যোৎকুমার কলিকাতা, বোম্বাই, মাদ্রাজ, উত্তরপশ্চিম প্ৰদেশ, পাঞ্জাব, মধ্য প্ৰদেশ, আসাম, ব্ৰহ্ম এবং সীমান্তবাসীদিগের প্রতিনিধিস্বরূপ ভারতসচিবের নিকট নিম্নলিখিত পত্র প্রেরণ করেন :- "We representives of the people of India, appointed, in obedicnce to the wish of our Most Gracious Emperor to attend the august ceremony of his coronation as Ruler of all British realms, beg permission thruugh your Lordship, to approach IHis Majcsty with an expre:- ssion of the strong and heartfelt gratitudc; which,with decp cnotion filled our hearts as we witnessed the Abbey to day, and to assure His Majesty that, we all felt and cxperienced, we were indiced the representatives of ncraly three hundred millions of people. all of then His Majesty's devotcd and loyal subjects in his distant Empire". 'For all these, His Majesty's Indian subjects; and
