Our acquaintance matured into closer relations when Bankim Babu started the Banga Darsan. Since then we have often been in familiar intercourse both by letter and conversation. We agreed in Imany points and, as might be expected, differed in some. But I think it may be safely recorded that our appreciation of Brahmanic culture was of a date earlier than when Theosophy and Theosophists were heard , of in Bengal. 8©
