छाशक्षा थं । VVS) Ram Lall may remain close and cordial for ever, and I hope confidently that he will fulfil my desire.” বলরামপুর রাজ্যের যাবতীয় প্রধান কৰ্ম্মচারী একখানি সুদীর্ঘ পত্র স্বাক্ষরিত করিয়া ডাক্তার মহাশয়ের সৎকাৰ্য্যের জন্য কৃতজ্ঞতা প্ৰকাশ করিয়াছিলেন। ঐ পত্রের (qकश्ट्रान अछि,- "But above all, the person to whom we owe our obligations beyond measure and gratitude without end, is you.' ১৯০২ অব্দে ৬০ বৎসর বয়সে তিনি বলরামপুর হাসপাতাল হইতে অবসর গ্ৰহণ করেন। ঐ সময় তাহার প্রতিকৃতি গৃহীত হইয়া কর্তৃপক্ষগণের দ্বারা হাসপাতালে রক্ষিত হয়। অবসর গ্ৰহণ করিয়া যখন লক্ষেী সহরে অবস্থান করিতেছিলেন তখন অযোধ্যার মহারাজা তীহাকে পাদটীকায় মুদ্রিত গ্ৰীতিপূর্ণ পত্ৰখানি লিখিয়াছিলেন।* হামপাতালে কৰ্ম্ম করিবার কালেও তিনি মধ্যে মধ্যে অযোধ্যার তালুকদারদিগের চিকিৎসা করিতেন এবং সকলের সহিত বন্ধুত্ব সুত্ৰে বদ্ধ হইয়াছিলেন। ১৮৮৫ অব্দে মাহমুদাবাদের রাজা আমির হােসেন কৃতজ্ঞতা জ্ঞাপনাৰ্থ দরবার করিয়া বলিয়াছিলেন,- "2. to repeat the same praise at this occasion. I had always full confidence in your treatment since 1886 and have got assurance of the same also. The relation between you and me has already become cordial and I wish that it may remain the same in our families. The Maharani also is much indebted to you for your services and she conveys her thanks to you through me. For what you eulogize her so much, she thinks it nothing more than her duty towards a respectable guest. She will, I dare say, be highly gratified to learn that you have appreciated her small present.
