○ ○W2 বঙ্গের বাহিরে বাঙ্গালী । কাশ্মীরেও তাহার অন্যথা হয় নাই। ডাক্তার মিত্ৰ যে রাজ্যের উন্নতিবিধানে আজ ২৭ বৎসর ধরিয়া অক্লান্ত পরিশ্রম ও আন্তরিক যত্ন করিয়াছেন সে রাজ্যের রাজা প্ৰজা উভয়ে তাহাকে কি চক্ষে দেখিতেন তাহ পাদটীকায় সন্নিবেশিত কয়েকটি উদ্ধার হইতে স্পষ্ট অনুভূত হইবে।* 弘 তিনি নিজগুণে সৰ্ব্বজনপ্রিয় এবং সম্প্রদায় নির্বিশেষে সকলেরই সম্মানভাজন ছিলেন । ধৰ্ম্ম ও চরিত্ৰবলও তেঁাহার কৰ্ম্মশক্তির অনুরূপ ছিল । তঁহার ছাত্ৰ বস্থায় তিনি পরলোকগত মহাত্মা রাজনারায়ণ বসুর নিকট সর্বদা থাকিতেন এবং শিক্ষা পাইতেন। তিনি ইহাকে বড়ই ভালবাসিতেন। তঁহারই দ্বারা অল্পবয়সেই মিত্ৰ মহোদয়ের হৃদয়ে নীতি ও ধৰ্ম্মের বীজ উপ্ত হয়। সেই ধৰ্ম্মপ্রাণ ও চরিত্রবান পুরুষের সংস্পর্শে এবং তঁহার অমূল্য উপদেশে অনুপাণিত হইয়া ইনি প্রথম বয়সেই জীবনের দায়িত্ব ও গুরুত্ব অনুভব করিতে শিক্ষা করেন এবং উন্নত আদর্শ পোষণ করিয়া সংসারক্ষেত্রে প্রবেশ করেন । কাশ্মীরাবাসিগণ র্তাহার উপকার কখনও
