A L K O R. A. N. 1. O men of Mecca, serve your Lord who hath created you, and those who have been before you: peradventure ye will fear him; who hath spread the earth as a bed for you, and the heaven as a covering, and hath caused water to descend from heaven, and thereby produced fruits for your sustenance.—CHAP. II. হে মেককা বাসিগণ ! যিনি তোমাদিগকে এবং তোমাদিগের পূর্বতন মনুষ্যদিগকে স্বজন করিয়াছেন তাহার সেবা কর । তোমরা তাহাকে ভয় কর, যিনি তোমাদের জন্য ধরাকে শয্যারূপে এবং আকাশকে চন্দ্রাতপের ন্যায় বিস্তার করিয়াছেন, যিনি বারিকে আকাশ হইতে নিপাতিত করিয়াছেন এবং তদ্বারা তোমাদের পোষণ জন্য ফল সকল উৎপন্ন করিয়াছেন । 2. Dost thou not know that God is almighty ? Dost thou not know that unto God belongeth the kingdom of heaven and earth 2 neither have ye any protector or helper except God.—CHAP. II, তুমি কি জান না যে ঈশ্বব সৰ্ব্বশক্তিমান ? তুমি কি জান না যে আকাশ এবং পৃথিবী ঈশ্বরের রাজ্য ? তিনি ভিন্ন তোমাদের রক্ষক ও সহায় আর কেহ নাই । 3. He who resigneth himself to God, and d oth that which is right, he shall have his reward with his Lord ; there shall come no fear on them, neither shall they be grieved.—CHAP. II.
