There are some men who serve God in a wavering manner, standing as it were on the verge of the true religion. XXII. কতকগুলি লোক আছে, তাহারা যেন সত্যধর্মের পার্শ্বে দণ্ডায়মান হইয়া চঞ্চলভাবে ঈশ্বরের সেবা, করে। যদি তাহাদের মধ্যে কাহারও কোন শুভ ঘটনা হয়, সে তাহাতে সন্তুষ্ট থাকে, কিন্তু কোন বিপদ হইলেই ফিরিয়া বসে, এরং ইহলোক ও পরলোক উভয়ই হারায় । 27. Wherefore be you constant at prayer; and give alms; and adhere firmly unto God He is your master; and he is the best master, and the best protector.—CHAP. XXII. অতএব নিত্য উপাসনা কর, এবং দান কর, ও ঈশ্বরনিষ্ঠ হও । তিনি তোমাদিগের প্রভু ; তিনি তোমাদিগের সৰ্ব্বোৎকৃষ্ট প্রভূ এবং সৰ্ব্বোৎকৃষ্ট রক্ষক। 28. Be constant at prayer; for prayer preserveth a man from filthy crimes, and that which is blameable; and the remembering of God is surely a most important duty.—CHAP. XXIX. t
