But this prejudice is, I am disposed to think, fast wearing out, and the necessity and importance of cultivating the Bengali Language the language of our country, the language of our infancy, the language in which our earl cst deas and associations are entwined-will ere long be recognised by all.' কিশোরী বাবুর ন্যায় আবি ও অনেক শিক্ষিত ব্যক্তি, এইরূপে, অক্ষয় বাবুর বক্তত হইতে বাঙ্গালা ভাষা আলোচনার অনুরাগী হইয়াছিলেন এবং সেই সময় হই৩ে হেয়ার স্মরণার্থ সভার আলোচ্য বক্তৃতা ও প্ৰবন্ধাদি ইংরাজী ও বাঙ্গালী উভয় ভাষাতেই রচিত হইতেছিল। এই 开寸弧 চতুর্থ সাম্বাৎসরিক উৎসব উপলক্ষে তাৎকালিক ইংরাজী শিক্ষিত সম্প্রদায়ের অগ্রণী, রেভারেণ্ড কৃষ্ণমোহন বন্দোপাধ্যায় বাঙ্গালী ভাষাতেই একটি রচনা পাঠ করিয়াছিলেন এবং পর বৎসর সুকবি মদনমোহন তর্কালঙ্কার মহাশয় ও তাহার পর বৎসর ( ১৮৪৮ খৃষ্টাব্দে ) বাবু রাজনারায়ণ বসু, এই উপলক্ষে, বাঙ্গালা ভাষাতেই বক্তৃতা করিয়াছিলেন। মহর্ষি দেবেন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর রাজনারায়ণ বাবুর বক্তৃতার দিন সভাপতি হেয়ার স্মরণার্থ সভায় বাঙ্গালা ভাষার আলোচনা ।
