যুরোপ-প্ৰবাস । ●炮心 তঁহারা সকলে স্বদেশ ত্যাগ করিয়াছিলেন, তাহা স্মরণ করাইয়া দিয়া তাহাদিগকে উৎসাহিত করিতেন। বাবু সত্যেন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর সিভিল সার্ভিস পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ হইলে মধুসূদনের আনন্দের সীমা ছিল না। তিনি, তাহার সম্বন্ধে একটি কবিতা রচনা করিয়া, চতুৰ্দশপদী কবিতাবলীতে সন্নিবিষ্ট করিয়াছিলেন । মনোমোহন ঘোষ মহাশয়কে তিনি এই সময় সে সকল পত্ৰ লিখিয়াছিলেন, তাহা হইতে আমরা তঁহার BB DB BB DBDB DDD SS DBDBBD BDBkD DDD করিয়া, বিদ্যাসাগর মহাশয়কে লিখিত পত্রের ন্যান্য, মনোমোহন বাবুকে লিখিত পত্ৰ হইতেও আমরা প্রয়োজনীয় অংশগুলি, নির্বাচন পূর্বক, সন্নিবিষ্ট করিতেছি। মূল পত্রের কয়েক খানি ফরাসীভাষায় লিখিত ; আমরা তাহাদিগের মনোমোহন বাবু কৃত ইংরাজী অনুবাদ প্ৰদান করিলাম । I feel very dull arid sad, and have been so since my removal, but I must accustom myself to this state of things, especially as both of you are going to leave town, in so short a time.
