R O Ve মীর কাসিম ইংরাজ শিবির আক্রমণ করিয়াছিলেন, মীর কাসিম সেইরূপ প্ৰবল প্ৰতাপে সহায়তা সাধন করিতে পারিলে, সেই দিনই পাটনা মীর কাসিমের করতলগত হইত ; ইংরাজ-শক্তি চুর্ণ বিচুর্ণ হইত। কিন্তু ঘটনাচক্ৰে সমস্ত শ্রম ব্যর্থ হইয়া গেল। অবশেষে বর্ষাকাল সমুপস্থিত হইলে, মীর কাসিমকে বকসারে আসিয়া শিবির সন্নিবেশ করিতে হইল । * মীর কাসিমের অর্থবলই যে প্ৰধান বল, ইংরাজগণ তাহা বুঝিতে পারিয়া, নানা কৌশলে মীর কাসিমকে অর্থহীন করিবার চেষ্টা করিয়াছিলেন। দিল্লীশ্বর অর্থাভাবে অবসন্ন। তঁহাকে অর্থের সন্ধান প্ৰদান করিলে, তিনি ছলে বলে কৌশলে মীর কাসিমের নিকট অর্থ গ্ৰহণ BBBDB KBDBD SYTgg DBDDLE DBDDBmmS KDBBD DDDBBDBS KKBD এক পত্র লিখিয়াছিলেন । * তা হাতে মীব কাসিমের। আপাততঃ কোন অনিষ্ট ঘটিল না । বরং দিল্লীশ্বর সন্ধিস্থাপনের জন্যই যথাসাধ্য যত্ন করিলেন। কিন্তু ইংরাজ-সেনাপতি, সমরু ও মীর কাসিমকে প্ৰাপ্ত না হইলে কিছুতেই সন্ধি করিবেন না বলিয়া কৃতসংকল্প হইবার জন্যই
