Ն 8 রাজমালা । { tत्र ७ কুলি প্রদান না করায়, তঁহার বিরুদ্ধে বিপুল ত্রিপুর-বাহিনী প্রেরণ করা হয়। উক্ত জমিদার, আত্মরক্ষার উপায় না দেখিয়া শ্রীহট্টের মুসলমান শাসনকৰ্ত্তার আশ্রয় গ্রহণ করিলেন । এই সূত্রে মুসলমানগণের সহিত, ত্রিপুরার তুমুল সংগ্রাম হইয়াছিল। ১৫০৪ শকে এই যুদ্ধ সঙ্ঘটিত হয় । যুদ্ধাবসানে, প্রধান সেনাপতি রাজধর দেব (অমরমণিক্যের পুত্ৰ ) যে পথে মেরূপ ভাবে প্রত্যাবৰ্ত্তন করিয়াছিলেন, তাহার বর্ণন উপলক্ষে রাজমালা বলিয়াছেন ;— “পনরশ চারি শাক পৌষ মাস শেষে । মাঘের পনর দিনে ফতে খ লইয়া আসে । রাজধর চলিল দুলালী গ্রাম পথে । ইটাগ্রাম সৈয়া চলে উনকোটী তীর্থে।” ইত্যাদি । রাজাবাবুর বাড়ীতে রক্ষিত রাজমালায় উদ্ধৃত বাক্যের সহিত ভাষাগত কিঞ্চিৎ পার্থক্য থাকিলেও সময় নিৰ্দ্ধারণ সম্বন্ধে উভয় গ্রন্থেরই একমত। উক্ত গ্রন্থে লিখিত আছে ;– “পনরশ চারি শকে পৌষ শেষে রহিয়। মাঘের পনর দিনে ফতে খাকে লৈয়া ॥ রাজধর নারায়ণ দুলালীর পথে । ইটালি হইয়া গেল উনকোটী তীর্থে।” ইত্যাদি । রেভারেণ্ড, লঙ সাহেবের মতে ১৫৮২ খৃষ্টাব্দে এই যুদ্ধসঙ্ঘটিত হইয়ছিল । ৫ ১৫৮২ খৃষ্টাব্দ ও ১৫০৪ শকে পার্থক্য নাই, সুতরাং লঙ সাহেব রাজমালার সহিত ঐক্যমত হইয়াছেন। কৈলাস বাবু বলেন—“সম্ভবতঃ ১০০৯ ত্রিপুরাব্দে এই ঘটনা হইয়াছিল।” । সেণ্ডিস্ সাহেব তরপের যুদ্ধের কথা উল্লেখ করিয়া থাকিলেও,
- “Amar Manik resolved on virtuous deeds by digging tanks ; he ordered all the landlords of his kingdom to send coolies for this purpose, accordingly nine Zemindars sent 73UO coolies. The Zemindar of Taraf in Sylhet refused, an army of 22,Ooo men was sent against him, his son was taken prisoner, put into a cage, and brought to Udayapur. The Raja, next (A. D. 1582) marched an army against the Mohammadan commander of Sylhet whom he defeated. The order of the troops in battle resembled in figure the sacred bird Gaduda, the two generals in the van represented the beak, the troops on the flanks the wing, and the main army the body ; during the fight both parties became fatigued when a suspension of arms took place by mutual agreement ; they afterwords resumed the battle, when the Musalmans were defeated.”
