কৃত্তিকাকুল বল্লভসেনানী—The commander who was dear to the race of nymphs called Krittikas. Karttikeya, son of Durga was brought up by these nymphs. Hence he is said to be dear (বল্লভ) to them. Here বল্লভ does not mean “Husband”. The nymphs were the foster-mothers of Karttikeya, and he was their forster-son.

আপনি কৃতান্ত—Yama himself. কৃতান্ত means literally “one by whom অন্ত or end or death is কৃত or brought about or performed.”
সুনাসীর—Indra. ফলক—shield.

দিবাকর-পরিধি—The circle of the sun.
পরিধি—is circumference, but here it is the circle. ধাঁধিয়া—Dazzling.

ফুলকুল-সখী—the companion of flowers.
