মেঘনাদবধ কাব্য
পর্ণ—leaf; petal.
পদ্মের পর্ণ—Sita is a পদ্ম, and her ornaments are the petals of the পদ্ম।
বরাঙ্গ-অলঙ্কার—the ornaments of the beautiful body. সীমন্ত—the line of the parting of hair.
গোধূলি-ললাট—the forehead of twilight. Twilight is compared to a woman, The evening star is poetically said to be on the forehead of twilight, as the vermilion spot on the forehead of a woman.

চিরদাসী—for-ever a servant.
সেই সেতু... রঘুনাথে—Sita speaks of her ornaments as forming a bridge which has brought Rama across the sea to Lanka.
স্বয়ম্বর—a system of marriage in which the bride chooses the bridegroom. Sita's marriage was not a স্বয়ম্বরভin the true sense of the term.
সুধামুখ—mouth full of nectar.
তোষ—তুষ্ট কর; satisfy.
