আলোকাগার—the abode of light. The bright eyes of Pramila are meant.
পয়োবহ—a cloud, i.e. the cloud of sorrow.
ভ্রান্তিমদে মত্ত... সত্বর গমনে—the Night is overpowered with an error. She is said to have mistaken Pramila for Dawn and is flying away before her. Meghanada means to say that Pramila is as beautiful as Dawn.
কন্দর্পরূপী—as beautiful as Kandarpa.
জানি আমি কেন...গজরাজ—I know, Oh Lord of elephant, why you roam about in forests. You are proud of five gaits, and you see that the gait of my husband is finer than your. You are therefore ashamed to appear before public view.
