মেঘনাদবধ কাব্য
সপ্তম সর্গ।
পদ্মপর্ণ—a leaf of lotus; a petal of lotus.
পদ্মযোনি—Brahma. নয়ন-পদ্ম—lotus like eyes.
সমপ্রেমাকাঙ্ক্ষী—seeking for the same love. Both the lotus and the Suryamukhi bloom at sunrise. They are therefore poetically said to be the wives of the sun.
হেমসূর্য্যমুখী—Suryamukhi with a golden hue.
পৃষ্ঠা—১৮৮—১৯২
পীনপয়োধরা—having plump and prominent breasts. বিনাইলা—dressed.
চিকণ-কেশ—smooth and bright hair.
বেদনিল—pained. জীবেশ—i.e. husband.
অনুরোধে—requests. বীণাবাণী—a person having a voice as sweet as the music of the harp, i.e. Pramila is meant.
সর্ব্বহরকাল—Time, the Destroyer of everything.
রাজীব—lotus.
ভর—fill up. ব্যোমচর—the wanderer of the sky. নিরংশু—devoid of light.
ভৈরব-দূত—the messenger of Siva.
কিংশুক—a kind of beautiful red flower
অমর-হিয়া—the heart of an immortal.
মর-দুঃখ—the grief of a mortal.
ভস্মরাশি-মাঝে—in the mass of ashes.
গুপ্ত বিভাবসুসম—like fire concealed.
