পৃষ্ঠা—২৪৪—২৪৬ কি মানসে ......নয়নে—the eyes of the males told the eyes of the females with what object in view they entered into the woods.
সঙ্গম—cohabitation. মনোরথ—object in view.
মনোরথ বৃথা দুই দলে—the punishment of these males and females consists in the fact that each of the parties is unable to gratify the carnal desire of the other. Both the parties are beautiful and charming to look at. Their beauty excites their carnality. But, alas, they are impotent to satisfy the desire.
মরুভূমে—i.e. on the earth.
ভোগে বহু—suffers much.
নরকাগ্রে—before they come to hell.
যৌবনে অন্যায়......কাঙ্গালী—the excesses in the youth make a person impotent in an advanced age.
অনির্ব্বেয়—that cannot be extinguished or satisfied. কামধুক—Heaven, which satisfies all good desires.
কামলতা—a creeper which gives fruits at any time at pleasure. বন্ধ্য—barren.
