The book, we are also sure, will be of great use to the B. A. candidates who have taken up Economics as one of their subjects as it may very well occupy the place of the so-called Notes, while it has the additional advantage of combining in one book English and Indian Bconomics. The introduction of the book written by an erudite scholar like Prof Benoyendra Nath Sen M.A. of the Presidency College very aptly calls on our countrymen to devote greater attention to the study of Economics and to encourage those, like the author, who inspite of the greatest difficulties have devoted themselves, to the study of history and Economics and have taken up these subjects as their lifework. Indeed, it is the crying need of India that greater attention is not being paid to the study of Bconomics. In Bengal specially, while novels and books of stories are coming up every minute like so many Mushrooms, it is a pity that we are not having more and more books on Economics, like the one under review and we therefore welcome it all the more. We recommend this took to one and all and we confidently assure the author that ere long he will be called upon to bring out a second Edition.
